Volkswagen Eos
Does it bother you that the button to operate the roof on your Volkswagen Eos is so
awkward to handle? With our Cabrio-Plus module, your Eos gains several additional
features and will really stand out when on the move!
Installation is so easy. With the T-Adapter the installation is nearly plug&play.
You don´t need to cut wires or reassemble connectors. The T-Adapter also
makes the re-instalallation very easy and fast.
The most important features are:
Detailled functionality:
- Roof can be operated with the remote key control. After
pressing the open or close button on the vehicle remote thirce, the roofs
starts moving. With this, you can open the roof on the way to your car or
you can close it if you are inside and it starts to rain. The process can
always be stopped by pressing another time on the remote control. A guaranteed
show effect!
- A quick touch of the roof button opens or closes the roof completely.
Holding the roof button for the entire time the roof is in motion is no longer
needed. Simply press the button once and release to start movement of the
roof. A short push in the opposite direction will interrupt the operation
if you need to stop for any reason. The direction of the roof button is reversable.
- Open and close while moving. You can open and close the
roof while driving up to configuratable speed of
28mph . No more worries about running out of time at a traffic light to raise or
lower the top. With this module, you can start driving while the roof finishes
it's movement. You are no longer a traffic obstacle while you are waiting
and people will look with jealousy as your drive away with the top completing
it's motion! If it starts to rain and there is no place to stop the car, you
can easily close the roof while driving at city speeds.
- For safetly reasons, driving faster than the maximum speed stops the movement
of the roof. If you reduce speed within the next ten seconds, the roof operation
will continue automatically.
- The roof continues moving no matter if you start the engine, lock the doors
or remove the key. There are no unnecessary waiting times.
- All functions can be abled or disabled with the MFA buttons on the lever
right from the steering wheel or with the buttons of the multifunction steering
wheel. If you don´t want to use all functions, you can disable them.
The module recognizes if a big or small red MFA display is available and aligns
the size of the configuration display. The configuration text is available
in english and german language. Cars with white MFA have to be configured
by a sequence of pressed buttons without display on the MFA.
- As we develop new functionality in the future, you have the ability to get
a firmware update so you can always have the latest features.
- Compared to other modules, the standby power demand of the Cabrio-Plus module
is only 0,03mA. This means that it spares your battery and ensures that your
cabrio will start after a holiday or period of bad weather.
- The module does not store any error codes in the diagnostic memory of the
car. There are no confusions about wrong records when the car is at service.
The module is electronically invisible for diagnostic tools.
The installation position is invisible on the left cover inside the trunk.
Our T-Adapter allows a very easy installation. It is not necessary to remove
pins. Just connect the T-Adapter and the cables for voltage. Our photo-rich,
detailed manual shows exactly which steps are necessary to install the module.
Nothing else is necessary and after installation your EOS allows a lot of convenient
extra features.
The Cabrio-Plus Module is a German product and was carefully developed to avoid
disruption of other controllers in the CAN-Bus network. Produced also in Germany,
it has a valid E-certificate allowing trouble-free usage within the ECE.
Information regarding the standby power demand:
In the standby mode, each device consumes a small amount of power. Even
complex vehicle controllers should not need more than 2,0mA to avoid an
empty battery after a long standing time, e.g. after a holiday. It is
even more important for cabrios, as these kinds of vehicles are sometimes
not used in cold weather periods. We do not recommend installing electronic
modules with a standby demand of more than 0,5mA. Due to quality engineering
and manufacturing, Cabrio-Plus Modules need less than 0,03mA. |
Information to the ECE approval:
In Europe, all automotive electric devices must have an E-certificate (ECC). Among other
things, sufficient product safety and lack of existing component disturbance has to be
proven. Put more simply, the E-certificate corresponds an ABE for electric components and
replaces the ABE when components are installed in a vehicle. All Cabrio-Plus Modules
have a valid E-certificate and can be installed legally in the ECC. More

Information to the installation:
The module can be removed without any visible appearance. With the T-Adapter
the installation is very easy and the module can be re-installed in short
time. The power supply can be connected either directly at the installation
position or with a cable enlargement somewhere else, e.g. the fuse box.
As no cable have to be cut through and no Y-connectors are necessary on
the installation position, a invisible re-installation is 100% possible.
