Does it bother you that the button to operate the roof on your Audi TT (8J) Roadster is so awkward to handle? With our Cabrio-Plus module, your TT gains several additional features and will really stand out when on the move!

Installation is so easy. You don´t need to remove covers of the car and it is not necessary to cut through wires. All you have to do is to connect some cable in the trunk near the Battery.

The most important features are:

Roof can be operated with the remote key fob
A quick touch of the roof button opens or closes the roof completely. No long hold is necessary.
Roof can be operated up to a driving speed of 37mph.

No interuption of the movement caused by starting the engine or locking the doors.

Warning signals will flash on the LED mirror blinker while operating the roof.

All individual functions can be disabled.

All security functions of the car remain unchanged.

Ability to update the module for future innovations.
Invisible removable. No error codes are recorded by the car.
Standby consumption is under 0,03mA (<0,36 Watt at 12V voltage)

Detailled functionality:

  • Roof can be operated with the remote key control. After pressing the open or close button on the vehicle remote thrice, the roofs starts moving. With this, you can open the roof on the way to your car or you can close it if you are inside and it starts to rain. A guaranteed show effect!
  • A quick touch of the roof button opens or closes the roof completely. Holding the roof button for the entire time the roof is in motion is no longer needed. Simply press the button once and release to start movement of the roof. A short push in the opposite direction will interrupt the operation if you need to stop for any reason.
  • Open and close while moving. You can open and close the roof while driving up to speeds of 37mph . No more worries about running out of time at a traffic light to raise or lower the top. With this module, you can start driving while the roof finishes it's movement. You are no longer a traffic obstacle while you are waiting and people will look with jealousy as your drive away with the top completing it's motion! If it starts to rain and there is no place to stop the car, you can easily close the roof while driving at city speeds.
  • The roof continues moving no matter if you start the engine, lock the doors or remove the key. There are no unnecessary waiting times.
  • All functions can be enabled or disabled with the mirror adjustment joystick. Pushing the joystick for 5 seconds in one direction sets up the configuration of a function and a flashing symbol in the tacho receipts the change. If you don´t want to use all functions, you can disable them seperately.
  • As we develop new functionality in the future, you have the ability to get a firmware update so you can always have the latest features.
  • The module can get removed without visible traces if you connect the plus voltage cable with an extra fuse (not included) directly on the battery beside. All other cables have to be sticked into connectors. To remove the pins no special tool is required.
  • Compared to other modules, the standby power demand of the Cabrio-Plus is only 0,03Ma. This means that it spares your battery and ensures that your cabrio will start after a holiday or period of bad weather.

The comfort module has to be installed in the trunk below the bottom cover. Our photo-rich, detailed manual shows exactly which steps are necessary to install the module. Nothing else is necessary and after installation your TT Roadster allows a lot of convenient extra features.

The Cabrio-Plus Module is a German product and was carefully developed to avoid disruption of other controllers in the CAN-Bus network. Produced also in Germany, it has a valid E-certificate allowing trouble-free usage within the ECE.

Information regarding the standby power demand:
In the standby mode, each device consumes a small amount of power. Even complex vehicle controllers should not need more than 2,0mA to avoid an empty battery after a long standing time, e.g. after a holiday. It is even more important for convertibles, as these kinds of vehicles are sometimes not used in cold weather periods. We do not recommend installing electronic modules with a standby demand of more than 0,5mA. Due to quality engineering and manufacturing, Cabrio-Plus Modules need less than 0,03mA.


Information to the ECE approval:
In Europe, all automotive electric devices must have an E-certificate (ECC). Among other things, sufficient product safety and lack of existing component disturbance has to be proven. Put more simply, the E-certificate corresponds an ABE for electric components and replaces the ABE when components are installed in a vehicle.
